The love of a sunny summer day is illuminated in the morning light over this sunflower field. The artist applied layers of medium to a stretched canvas and embedded creased paper to form a grid...symbolizing the structure of everyday life. The sunflowers and intertwined foliage were then painted overtop of this with multiple layers of thick paint to represent the free-flowing nature of humanity.
